cisco router access list?

Question: Hi guys, I am studying for my ccna. I don't have access to an actual router so I have been using Boson as a simulator. I have been trying to get my access lists to work. I set up 2 routers, router a and router b via serial. I put an access list on router A's serial 0 to block incoming traffic from router b. I put it on IN buffer for router A. It worked that now it blocks router B from pinging A. However, router A is not able to ping B as well. Is it supposed to be like that. I'm under the impression that router A is only supposed to block data from router B and that router A supposed to still be able to ping router B. Is this a bug within the Boson simulator? caz I have noticed that there are some bugs with it. I have tried it on different simulated labs and the same thing happens. Please help. thank you

Answer: If you block all traffic from router B to router A, the echo responses will be blocked as well. So, chances are the packets are reaching router B, you just don't know it because you cannot receive a response.
